In 2015, Jack’s family approached the HBF looking for a bathroom remodel and a ramp to help Jack, who has Muscular Dystrophy, live independently.
When asked about how the remodel impacted his life, Jack said “My life got immediately easier thanks to the Home Builders Foundation. They gracefully gave me a new shower which makes showering by myself easier. They also gave me a ramp that makes going everywhere I want to go – to school, band practice, kayaking or horseback riding – up to me. My daily routine is much like anyone else’s and the shower and the ramp make it like anyone’s else’s too.”
