Every year, Home Builders Foundation completes ramp, railing, bathroom, flooring, and door widening projects for individuals with mobility challenges, modifications that allow people to stay safely in their own homes. When you donate or discount building materials, you directly lower our project costs, which means we can serve more clients, complete projects faster, and stretch every donated dollar further. Your contribution shows up as a ramp a wheelchair user can finally roll down safely, or a grab bar that prevents a fall.
What Materials We Need
We work with in-kind partners across several project types:
- Ramps and Railings: Lumber, composite decking, hardware, paint, and railing systems that improve safety and accessibility around the home.
- Bathroom Modifications: Grab bars, toilets, sinks, tile, plumbing components, roll-in showers, and other accessibility-focused fixtures.
- Flooring and Doorways: Flooring materials and door components needed to widen doorways and improve mobility throughout the home.
If you supply any of these materials or related products, we’d love to talk.
Why Businesses Partner With Us
Partnering with Home Builders Foundation means joining a team of Independence Builders: the network of volunteers, donors, and sponsors who make this mission possible. In-kind material donations to registered nonprofits are typically tax-deductible, and partners are recognized in our communications, on our website, and across project touchpoints.
More than that, you’ll know exactly where your materials went and who they helped.
