Clubs for a Cause brings our community together to open doors to greater independence. The support raised at this event helps HBF create real pathways for people living with disabilities. Bill is a retired allergist, longtime medical educator, and dedicated community advocate. In 2022, a life-changing pickleball accident caused a severe spinal cord injury, beginning a new chapter of recovery, resilience, and renewed purpose. Throughout his rehabilitation, Bill has remained committed to helping others and approaching each day with gratitude and determination.
With the support of Home Builders Foundation and its partners, Bill received an outdoor ramp and vertical platform lift that restored greater freedom at home. “For the first time, I can get outside independently using my own ramp,” Bill shared. “Having the freedom to come and go on my own has made a tremendous difference.”
