Apartment Renovation for 18-year-old Carson C.

The Home Builders Foundation (HBF) recently completed an ADA accessible apartment renovation for 18 year old Carson. Carson has cerebral palsy and uses an automatic wheelchair to get around. When Carson’s family relocated to a new home, they purchased a house with a mother-in-law suite so Carson would be close to his family, yet able to be independent. Carson’s family approached the HBF to complete the ADA accessible renovations that included a ramp, a kitchenette, and a bathroom remodel.

Berkeley Homes picked up the project and with the help of their trade partners, completed all of the renovations in mid-March. Special shout out to Jeff Willis, Mike McGarvey, Will Hadden, Cortland Hacker, and Larry Malone from Berkeley Homes for leading this project, and thank you to all of the trades that helped out with Carson’s project!!
