HBF and Brookfield Residential Break Ground on 2021 Inspiration House

On Friday, April 9th representatives from HBF and Brookfield Residential gathered in Firestone for a groundbreaking ceremony to unveil this year’s Inspiration House. Jeff McGovern, Colorado Division President of Brookfield Residential, Beth Forbes, Executive Director of Home Builders Foundation and Geoff Haskell, Front Range Sales Manager at Builders FirstSource thanked the approximately 20 trade partners in attendance and discussed the benefits this fundraising project will have for individuals in the community who are living with disabilities.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Geoff Haskell, who has been involved in past Inspiration Houses, talked about the amazing payoff. He noted, “Because we’re all in this together, our donations and contributions multiply. By the end of the project, we’re not just helping one family, we’re helping scores of families living with a disability.”

Following remarks, representatives helped shovel dirt, laying the foundation for the 2021 Inspiration House.

The Inspiration House, currently under contract, is a collaboration between a Denver-area home builder and its trade partners. Supporting companies discount and/or donate services and materials to significantly reduce the cost of the home build. The proceeds from the sale of the new home are then donated to HBF. This will be the seventh Inspiration House since the program begun; the first six Inspiration Houses have raised $600,000.
