400 guests gathered at Infinity Park Event Center in Glendale, Colorado on April 12, 2018 to celebrate the Home Builders Foundation’s 25th anniversary. The 25th Anniversary Celebration included a cocktail reception, dinner, fabulous live and silent auctions, and moving stories from past program recipients. Event organizers estimate that the event raised $150,000 in support of the organization’s program to support individuals with disabilities through home modifications.
“The Home Builders Foundation is an incredible organization which offers home modifications at no cost to individuals with physical disabilities. These modifications rebuild independence for our recipients within their homes and also allow them to access life and our community outside of their homes. We’re proud to stand alongside the Home Builders Foundation, their amazing cadre of volunteers, and their inspiring participants tonight as they celebrate 25 years serving the community,” said Hamid Taha, President of the Presenting Sponsor, Alpine Lumber
“The HBF modified my home after I became paralyzed in the shootings at Columbine High School. While I was recovering from my injury, it gave me peace of mind to know I would returning to my own home, and that I could fully access it just like I had before my injury. The impact of the HBF on my life has stayed with me the past 19 years and I am thrilled to be a part of their 25th anniversary as they continue important work in our community.” – Sean Graves, 1999 HBF Recipient and 25th Anniversary Celebration Recipient Speaker
All funds raised at the 25th Anniversary Celebration Event will help the Home Builders Foundation meet their mission to build independence, provide opportunities and elevate lives for individuals and families with disabilities in our community.
