Theresa R. uses a walker, and could not navigate her steep ramp that only had a bumper, rather than handrails. With help of Project Captain Bella Villa Builders and volunteers from CH2MHill, the HBF was able to rebuild Theresa’s ramp so that she was safe entering and exiting her home. This project has a retail value of approximately$3,500, but thanks to its network of support, the HBF was able to complete this project for just $177.
“We wanted to take a few minutes to thank you and everyone who volunteered to build our ramp. Your volunteers were hard working and did a great job building our ramp. They did a wonderful job. We can now both go down in our walkers and my wheelchair without worry. Thank You.” – David & Theresa R, 2014 recipients
