Rosaria R., a Wheat Ridge senior with cerebral palsy could no longer access her bathroom safely. Thanks to Project Captain Accessible Systems and funding from National Fair Housing Alliance and the Denver Metro Fair Housing Center, the HBF was able to create a barrier-free bathroom for Rosaria.
“I would like to thank Home Builders Foundation for the assistance given to my Aunt Roseanne. On her behalf I asked for assistance in getting her bathroom modified to help her with her disabilities. In February the work started and was complete in about 10 days. The company doing the work did a great job and we are so pleased with the final outcome. Because of the remodeled bathroom, my aunt can now take showers and we don’t have to worry about her falling. Thank you again for helping to change someone’s life.” – Lynda H., niece of Rosaria R. – 2014 recipient
