2023 PUCKS FOR POSSIBILITIES SPONSORS

MeetJD

Meet 6-year-old John David (JD). Early in their pregnancy, JD’s parents were informed of his down syndrome diagnosis. They worked hard to prepare themselves for the journey ahead. Since the time of his birth many additional diagnoses, including autism, have presented significant challenges. JD has severe mobility imbalance issues and is at high-risk of falling. Safety within their home has become the number one priority.

The family desperately needed a safe, independent bathtub/walk-in shower to assist him with this vital life skill. JD’s mom heard about HBF and reached out to apply for a bathroom modification. With the help of Lennar, HBF was able to provide this life-changing project.

Angie E. says, “This was my first project with HBF, and I couldn’t be more excited with how it turned out! I am very grateful for Chris’s coordination and efforts on this bathroom remodel project. Seeing it all come together through this partnership between Lennar and HBF has been very inspiring. I am so lucky to work for a company that supports giving back to our community and making an impact. The icing on the cake was seeing JD grab his bubbles and pop himself into his own tub with a HUGE smile on his face. Thank you, HBF for allowing me to be a part of your crew!
