As the snow gently falls around the Denver area, HBF is busy getting ready for our biggest event of the summer, 2021 Blitz Build, sponsored by Fiberon. And although this event will not happen until June 10-12, 2021, there is always work to be done behind the scenes. Right now we are accepting crew applications and project applications for this year’s event.
Each year Home Builders Foundation gathers together builders, contractors, remodelers, trades and volunteers to execute Blitz Build. In this incredible 3-day event, Blitz Build mobilizes more than 200 volunteers. Crews spend the weekend completing ramps for individuals in need of access to their homes.
In 2020, HBF celebrated the 10th anniversary of Blitz Build. With the help of dedicated volunteers and supporters, crews built 15 ramps, serving 12 different clients. Did you know the HBF fundraises every dollar for all projects? This ensures we can provide modifications to our recipients at no cost to them. Therefore, HBF requires a $250 donation from each crew participating in Blitz Build. Crews can choose to make the donation as a company or collectively as individuals. Each donation ensures future HBF projects can be considered.
