Urgent COVID-19 Support for HBF Recipients

As you may have seen in our E-news and social media, we recently made the difficult decision to postpone all HBF projects, for the safety and well-being of our clients, volunteers, and staff. The most heartbreaking part is that the life-changing works our projects provided are needed more now than ever since we’ve all been advised to stay in our homes.

We are asking you for your crucial support during these uncertain times. By confirming your support, we will ensure that crucial funds are available to quickly distribute to the backlog of projects once we can resume operations.

HBF staff received this note from 2015 HBF client, Michael S. earlier this week:

“The modifications completed by HBF have helped me get ready, and for my family to deal with COVID-19. We are thankful every day for HBF, but are especially thankful for in the past few weeks, and for the coming weeks as we are bound to our home more than ever. To be able to fully and independently access my house is a great gift during an otherwise difficult time. Thank you again!”

Your gift will allow us to continue our work, as soon as we are safely able. Michael has the freedom to use his home independently, and also access our community. Your gift will help us ensure social distancing now will not lead to continued social isolation for those that are waiting for their projects to begin.

Please support the HBF. This pandemic has left our disabled and elderly community without the access, dignity or independence in their homes they so desperately need.

Ways you can give today:

  • One-time gift to support the crucial needs during these backlog of projects
  • Become a Pillar of Independence and setup a monthly gift to invest in HBF’s sustainability
  • Facebook Birthday Fundraiser – Due to social distancing your birthday plans may change, so consider a celebration of helping those in your community instead.
