2021 HBF Events Look a Little Different

2020 has been a challenge, for sure! HBF continues to concentrate on our ability to deliver on our mission: to build independence, provide opportunities and elevate lives for individuals and families with disabilities in our community. The COVID-19 pandemic had a serious impact on our foundation, including the cancellation of our biggest fundraising event in 2020. In response, the staff and Board of Directors determined that next year’s schedule and events calendar will look a little different.

2021 HBF Schedule of Events

Thursday, May 20 – Clays to Elevate Lives, Kiowa Creek Sporting Club
HBF is excited to host our first clay shoot, presented by Builders FirstSource. All levels of shooters welcome, including expert, novice and beginners.

Thursday, June 10, Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12 – Blitz Build
An incredible 3-day event that brings together builders, contractors, remodelers, trades and volunteers to execute the constructing of ramps throughout metro Denver for individuals needing access to their home. June is a new time of year for Blitz Build. Adjusting the time frame allows us time to complete additional ramps throughout the summer.

Monday, September 20 – Clubs for a Cause, The Club at Rolling Hills
Industry partners and competitors face off in a scramble format tournament, presented by Boise Cascade, that tees off around lunchtime. The 2020 Clubs for a Cause was a successful event as participants followed proper social distancing practices to ensure the safety of players, staff members and clients. Make your commitment early as this event sells out every year!

Thursday, October 21 – Annual Celebration – Hangar at the Stanley Marketplace
In 2020, HBF made the difficult yet necessary decision to cancel the Annual Celebration, presented by Alpine Lumber. The October date has been selected with the hope that we will be able to gather and truly celebrate together in 2021!

As HBF navigates the current and long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working to follow local, state and federal guidelines, therefore, no individual tickets to HBF events will be available at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation, but at this time event sponsorships are the only way to secure your spot for 2021 events.

Our priority remains for clients, donors, volunteers, and staff to be comfortable with our day-to-day operations. HBF will continue respecting the limits COVID-19 has on program activities including events and fundraising.

HBF is committed to offering clients services in a reliable, safe and sustainable way now and into the future. The financial health of HBF remains a crucial priority. Now more than ever we rely on the strength and generosity of those who support what we do. Mark your 2021 calendar and contact Lauren Knudsen now to let her know you want to secure your spot.
